What is the Condition of the Heart of America?

Medically, the condition of the heart of a person is based upon many factors.

One of the primary factors is its ‘diet’.

Doctors and patients focus on the food that is eaten?

A good ‘diet’ contributes to a healthy heart.

A bad ‘diet’ contributes to an unhealthy heart.

The same is true of the ‘heart’ of a nation.

The ‘diet’ of the words consumed by the citizens of this nation affects the ‘heart’ of each individual; and collectively the overall condition of the nation?

Q: What ‘diet’ is currently feeding the ‘heart’ of this nation?

A. It would not surprise me if a lot of people would respond ‘football’, or the upcoming baseball playoffs and the World Series.

There is always a steady ‘diet’ of sports to feed upon.

Sports is like going to a smorgasbord.

I do not minimize such a response; however, if one watches the news on TV, checks their news apps on their phone, or listen to their favorite blogs, I am sure that ‘politics’ will be the watchword of the hour in which we live.

America feeds upon a ‘diet’ of politics.

We consume the words of ‘politics’ daily.

I propose this answer to the first question.

A. ‘Politics’, its agenda; its rhetoric; and its consequences provide a steady ‘diet’ of words that the citizenry of this nation eat every day.

Some snack; some eat one or two meals; and others gorge themselves.

Q: How does such a daily ‘diet’ of words affect the ‘heart’ of this nation?

Q. Do we have a ‘healthy’ heart; or do we have an ‘unhealthy’ heart?

A. I submit that one of the primary signs of an ‘unhealthy heart’ is political division.

Q. Do we have political division in this nation?

A. Yes.

Q. How do we know that this is true?

A. Read the headlines of written words on the internet and/or in the newspaper; listen to the daily rhetoric spoken by newscasters; or follow the political pundits of your choice.

Q. What drives this agenda?

A. To present the fear of the unknown; the fear of the potential negative consequences; and the fear of the potential loss of everything.

Medically we know that people consume food when they are stressed out, anxious or worried.

I propose that this nation is ‘stressed out’ on the negativity of ‘politics’.

Therefore, they feed their stress, anxiety, and worry.

Q. What is the ultimate purpose of a relentless barrage of ‘negativity’ that is put before us daily?

A. To gain our listening ear; to impart a planned agenda; to influence our thinking; and to control our response to the proposed threats of those you are listening too.

Q. Has there been success?

A. Yes.

I believe that this nation has become a ‘Prisoner Of Words’.

For the past decade, this nation has been subjected to a daily harassment of words that has incarcerated mentally many citizens.

This nation is ‘stressed out’ because of the ‘diet’ of relentless verbiage.

Q. Has the Church, have believers in Christ, also acquiesced to this ‘rhetoric’ and put themselves in mental bondage?

A. Yes

How do I know this is true?

Personal experience.

There is, therefore, an imperative the citizenry of this nation must consider.

They must choose wisely what they read; what they hear; and who they esteem.

November 3, 2026 is Election Day.

Are you ready?

Are you really ready?

What I am advocating is for all the citizens of America.

The issue is not your nationality; it is not your religion; it is not your gender; it is not your lifestyle; and it is not your political party.

Q. What am I saying?

A citizenry that only pays attention (eats a steady diet) to what is ‘programmed’ as truth (political ads, etc.), only listens to ‘sound bites’, and only consumes the nightly new’s political ‘biases’ is in grave danger not to be able to sort out the facts, and know the difference between what is true and what is untrue.

To coin a current word, your vote may be a programmed ‘robotic’ response rather than a ‘wise’ response based upon what is really true and not ‘political spin’.

Your ‘political diet’ may be ‘junk ‘food; not ‘healthy’ food for a ‘healthy heart’.

Examining your ‘diet’ for the upcoming election is an issue of the ‘heart’ that will have an effect on this nation positively or negatively.

It is not too late to start choosing a healthy diet; but it is going to demand a willing spirit on your part.

Q. Where is your ‘heart’?

Consider this truth.

Our ‘heart’ is “the core of our being, and the Bible sets high importance on keeping our hearts pure: “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the well spring of life.” (Proverbs 4:23) [Got Questions: What is the Heart?]

Q. Are you guarding your heart politically?

Why is this important?

Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”

In other words, the Fall has affected us at the deepest level; our mind, emotions and desires have been tainted by sin-and we are blind to just how pervasive the problem is. (Got Questions: What is the Heart?)

This is the condition of all humanity.

Your ‘heart’ is a product of what it is fed.

What you are fed is your ‘diet’.

Q. What does your daily ‘diet of words’ consist of?

I encourage you, whether you are a believer in Christ or a non-believer, to STOP and examine what is the ‘political rhetoric’ that you feed upon daily.

You MUST STOP and honestly evaluate the ‘diet of words’ that you are ingesting every day.

Right now, you are at a personal crossroad.

You face the decision to continue to read and listen to the negative political agenda, or to discontinue the negative political agenda.

This nation is a composite of the all the ‘hearts’ of its citizenry.

This nation is at a political crossroad.

The results of our national mid-term election, our state elections, our county elections, and our city and/or township elections will reveal the ‘heart’ of this nation and the pathway that it will walk on until our next presidential election and beyond.

Does that sound ominous?

Is that a ‘doomsday’ prediction?

I sincerely hope not.

I am asking all who read this post to search their ‘heart’ and consider what is at stake for the future of our nation?

I know what the ‘political pundits’ are saying; but I am trusting that the citizens of this nation will set aside their personal politics, even their religious aspirations, and consider what the direction of this nation might be, if we do not think rationally, logically, and truthfully about what is at stake.

A complacent voter is a controlled voter.

An informed voter is an intelligent voter.

I encourage you to exercise your thinking.

Please read, reflect, and respond intelligently when you make your voting decisions.

Do not be controlled by complacency.

Awaken your ‘heart’; exercise a clear vision; be rational, not irrational in your thinking.

The future of this nation will be exposed to all the citizens of America when the results of our upcoming election are finalized.

Exercise your Constitutional privilege and vote responsibly.

a fellow citizen, deo

P.S. The application of what you just read is the same for all the nations of this world. Make an honest evaluation of what you are being fed in the nation that you are living in. Examine its ‘diet’ of words.
